Dang hippies

This was just weird, and it literally, just happened.  I pulled up to this house, to pick up a customer and notice there’s a van in the driveway.  There’s something weird about the van, but I can’t quite put my finger on it.  I have the computer in the cab call out to the customer and wait at the end of the driveway for them to come out.

I wait around for a bit, and then I notice what’s up with the van.

It’s rocking.

As in: “if this van’s a rockin, don’t come a knockin.”

After a minute or two, the van stops shaking, and eventually one of the van doors opens up.  A barefoot older woman (probably in her early 50s or so), wearing what is essentially an oversized t-shirt steps out of the van, and stops dead in her tracks.  She looks shocked to see me there.  She looks back into the van, and this dude (about the same age, with hippy long hair) steps out, also looking very perplexed.  Long story short, this hippy couple is visiting a friend that lives here and someone in the house called for a cab.  Turns out, the person that called for the cab had already left.  Normally, that would suck, but not this time.  I decided to come use a computer and blog about one of the weirdest scenes at a pick up that I’d ever come across.
