15 week self challenge

OK, the last time I challenged myself, I met all of my goals.  This time around, may be more difficult, but here it goes anyway.  I’m going to track my progress both on here and on my fattrailrunner.com blog.  I was sitting on my couch tonight, eating pizza and watching the biggest loser.  They had some guys on there that had lost 100+ pounds in 13 weeks and whatnot.  Of course, I think that if anyone is provided with a cook, a trainer, and has nothing to do but workout for 13 weeks they really have no excuse not to lose weight, but I digress.

Here are some of my goals:

  • Spend more time with my kids.
  • Increase my income by 50% so I can get caught up with some things and maybe get ahead on some others.  This is a tough one, and I think this may be my biggest obstacle.
  • Lose 75lbs in the next 15 weeks.  This equates to 5 lbs a week, which is very doable.
  • Help someone else accomplish one of their own goals.

These are the big goals for the next 15 weeks.  All of my other goals cascade from or contribute towards these primary ones.  Will I be successful?  I dunno, but lets find out shall we?  I have until July 8th 2008.

Like I said yesterday, Chavez is itching to start a war with Colombia.  I don’t really know why, but maybe he’s just looking for an excuse to use all those weapons he’s been buying from Russia, or maybe he has dreams of re-creating the “Great Colombia” that his idol Simon Bolivar tried to do.  In any case, Chavez has begun to move troops to the border with Colombia.  Several thousand troops are en route to the border, supposedly to protect Venezuelan sovereignty, which can really only be protected by putting two bullets in Chavez’s head.

It’s only a matter of time before the troops find some small border village with disposable people in it.  The Venezuelan troops, or the FARC, under orders from Chavez himself, will kill everyone in the village.  Chavez will blame the Colombians and then write himself carte blanche to go invade Colombia.  Let’s see how it all plays out…

First to say it

Let me be the first to say it.  The Dick, Bush and Gates gummint of the U.S. will invade Iran before the end of the year.

Under the guise of a “troop surge” to secure Baghdad, they have the perfect cover to amass more troops and equipment in advance of the invasion.  Their original excuse will be that they are going to stop Iran’s nuclear program, and that they want to contain Iran and whatnot.

Then, after WW III stage two is running along nicely, they’ll change their story to something like they were wanting to impose democracy or they went there to free the people of Iran from an oppressive government or some such bullshit.  Just watch and see.
