We went to HEB yesterday, to get a few groceries and whatnot. While there, we’re told that these kids from school of rock are playing a concert and that we should go check them out because they are raffling away a pair of tickets to the Austin City Limits festival. Turns out you have to be under 15 to enter the raffle, so we talk Daniela into putting her name in the hopper and we stick around to listen to the kids play. After the kids are done playing, they start giving away the prizes. Shirts, posters, CDs and whatnot followed by the grand prize.
Yep, L’il D won the tickets to ACL, so it looks like I may be going to the festival.
Okay because i’ve seen this before on other Texans blogs…what does HEB stand for? Or is that the actual name of the grocery store?
HEB is the name of the store, but it stands for Harry E Butt, which is the name of the founder of the grocer store chain. No, I am not making up the name.
For real?! So it would be like, “Nice to meet you Mr Butt”….”stop being such a butt…oh wait…”
Yep, the patriarch of the family would be the head Butt. We could go on for days on this one.
