Seriously, if you have nothing worthwhile to contribute, don’t bother posting. All I’m going to do is delete your worthless spam comment anyway. For those of you that don’t know what I’m talking about, I’m talking about when someone leaves a comment on your post, that says nothing related to what the post was about, or that simply advertises some random website. I hate comment spam.
I hate spammers.
The worst kind of spammer, tries to pretend like they’re leaving a real comment, or they say “Hi Webmaster” or something along those lines. At least, if you’re an outright spammer and try to post some link to a Canadian pharmacy web page or something like that, I can respect you for at least being honest enough to be upfront about being a spammer. The other kind of spammer, the kind that pretends to add to the conversation, those people I despise.
Doesn’t your blog automatically catch the spam?
It catches a lot of the spam, but there is one particular kind of spam that almost always seems to get through. They post a message that says “Hi Webmaster!” and link to a site that sells viagra or something. I can’t get a captcha to work with my template for some reason or another.
