George Carlin died

in General Musings

OMG, I’m in shock, but not really. He was old, sure, but it’s still shocking news.

Why do I care? Well, because I liked his comedy. I really enjoyed his bit about the way to stop wars is for all the military personnel to not go. Just don’t show up, if those c*cksuckers want a war, let them go and fight it. The people he was referencing with the colorful language were members of congress and/ or other members of the gummint.

I also really enjoyed his bit on religion. He argued that there was no God and that he worships the sun and prays to Joe Pesci. He said that he had about a 50/50 chance of getting his prayers answered anyway, so shy bother. Part of the bit was that if there is a God, then you must also believe the God’s will be done, and therefore, why ask God for anything since His will will be done anyway, so there you have it. I guess now that Carlin is dead, he knows for sure. Check out this clip:

After watching this video again, I came to realize that George’s deal against God, is really against the church. It seems like he went to a church that wasn’t very “welcoming.” I like my church, and if it hadn’t been for my church I would believe the same way that George Carlin believes in this video. If you’re ever in the Kyle area, come to my church, it’s called The Connection Church and you’ll see the difference.

Anyway, rest in peace George. I hope that you came to terms with God.
