Well, I just had another article published. Does this mean that I get to call myself a writer now?
Here’s a link to the article in case you want to read it:
Speedo FastSkin LZR Racer Swim Suit
When I told Michelle about this, she said that it was great. She said that I should try to work on my book about stories from the cab. It’s been collecting digital dust on my hard drive for a few months now. I told her that I felt that if these people were willing to pay me for my articles, then that must mean that I’m a somewhat decent writer which only encourages me to finish the book. We shall see how it all turns out.
Congrats! I would love to read a book about all of your cab tales.
HOpe to read the cab stories. That should be interesting.
I have read about the science of this swim suit. The ingenuity behind it is that they studied the drag coefficent of the body while swimming various strokes. Them they treated somehow those areas to make them hydrophbic. Those areas actually repel water, thus reducing drag. I think that if you took the times of the same swimmer, one trial without and and one with the suit, he/she would post a slightly better time with the suit. Whether that improvement would be to physical or psychological (thinking you can do better, so you will) factors, is quite debatable.
I think that it is kinda cheating, actually.
I guess since I don’t believe in the science behind the suit, I’m not convinced it’s cheating. If it turns out that it does indeed do everything that they claim, then it would be cheating in my opinion.
